Dior Illustrated: René Gruau and the Line of Beauty at Somerset House



Be still my fluttering heart!
 René Gruau's iconic fashion and beauty illustrations for Dior go on show at Somerset House from the 10th of November. The exhibition focuses on his work for Dior, with more than 40 original illustrations for Christian Dior Parfums on show, including:
  • Vintage perfume bottles
  • Sketches
  • Magazines
  • Poster adverts
As well as his beautiful illustrations, I will be gushing over John Galliano's selection of Dior haute couture dresses, apparently including a special dress designed by Galliano in honour of Gruau.
